Here we are, once again, gearing up for a wild and FUN holiday season. Yesterday Phil turned 33, marking the beginning of a REALLY fun 30 days!
I have more things I am thankful for than I could possibly list, especially this year. I will highlight a few......
Phil ~ I am thankful I met such an amazing man in 2000 who has not only been a best friend, amazing husband, the love of my life, fabulous provider and the BEST father in the world. As I watch couples around us, I realize what a blessing Phil really is in my life. We have fun together, get through the tough times together and look forward to our future together. So this year, I give thanks for Phil.
Cooper ~ Never did I imagine a son could light up your life the way mine has. Cooper is a smart, sweet, loving and emotional little boy that fills my heart DAILY! He cares for others, strives to succeed and thinks before he acts....which is a BIG thing for an almost 6 year old. So this year, I give thanks for Cooper, my sweet son.
Samantha ~ I always wanted a daughter so I could experience the special bond MY mother and I have, with my own daughter. She is precious, sweet, SPUNKY, confident and loving. Sammy has a spirit that lights up the room, a loving heart when needed and a soft touch that makes you realize the things that really matter.....love. So this year, I give thanks for Samantha, my sweet baby girl.
Family ~ Not only do I have the two best parents in the world, I have a loving brother, fabulous in-laws, grandparents, expended family and so much more that is there for us through everything. I am so thanksful to feel loved, supported and most importantly NOT lonely this holiday season. So this year, I give thanks for family.
Home ~ The past two years we felt uneasy about our housing situation....in 2008 we were moving into the temporary Orlando apartment for Phil and in 2009 living in our rental home in Canton. All of this made us stronger and resulted in us buying the most AMAZING home which we plan to be in for many, many, many more holiday seasons. It is great to feel "home". So this year, I give thanks for home.
So maybe it is cheesy to say I am thankful for family and my home this holiday season because OF course I am but really.......I AM! I hope you all have a safe and wonderful holiday remembering those things in your life that make you smile and fill your heart.
