Can you imagine how many personalized outfits this girl would have if I had more days to spend at home doing things I enjoy????
I have been traveling and working NON-STOP lately which has been hard on me, the kids, Phil, my parents (who help out), our nanny, etc. It is a blessing to be employeed with a wonderful company (one which is growing a TON daily it seems) but a struggle leaving my family for a few days during the week. Yes, it is so fun to go to places like Chicago but I have a knot in my tummy every time I leave.....and every night when I go to sleep. I miss being with my kids, spending time with my husband and helping out around the house.....like a MOM SHOULD. I am so fortunate to have a great support system who picks up my slack while I am gone but really do not want to have to rely on them to do the things I want to be home doing. So, Phil and I made a decision to cut back on my travel. I blocked this week out as a "no travel" week and the hours I am working, will be from home. YIPPEE!!!!
This morning Cooper woke up not feeling well and it continued through the day with a slight fever and lots of time in MY bed. Despite his feeling ill, we were still able to get to the chiropractor and return something to PBKids that we have had for a MONTH. Then we came home, let Cooper relax and Samantha and I decided to whip out the dusty sewing machine and embroidery machine. That is when her ensemble came to life (the shirt and skirt above). Our next project includes a matching outfit for Lanie and a name shirt for Cooper (by request). I just LOVE doing things I love with my children IN my house! What a great day.
