Home is where the heart is!

We finally have our new home, are moved in and feel very blessed. There is a master plan for everything in life and although there for about 15-18 months we felt the plan STUNK, now we see the reason behind the stress, tears, hard work and MOVES! We have a wonderful home, one we can totally see being in for years and years and years.

A few weeks ago Cooper asked us if we would buy a home EVERY year near his birthday. When we stopped to think about it, we realized Cooper lived on Trailstone Court for 11 months, Drury Court for 3.5 years, spent quite a few nights in the Orlando apartment, 3 months at my parents and one year on Bridgemill Avenue. I can see why the poor child was confused. When Cooper asked us this, Phil's response was "NO, you are going to learn to DRIVE in this home!". Although the thought of Cooper driving completely freaks me out, it was so heartwarming to picture us living in this beautoful place for 11 more years (til Coop is 16).

Samantha was most excited about inheriting a teenagers hot pink room in the new house. Cooper wanted a Star Wars room. Since the kids have been completely amazing during the last year and a half of our life transition, we let them have exactly what they wanted. For Cooper that meant blue walls, a navy ceiling with glow in the dark stars (AND Satr Wars bedding). Samantha was a bit easier to please, we just had to let her keep the hot pink walls....which tend to glow. Seeing the kids absolutely in LOVE with their home and new rooms makes Phil and I so proud of the work and strength we have put forth this year.

We got the keys to the home on Sunday and I am posting these pictures on Friday. As you all know, I like to work fast and tend to move in with warp speed. This move was a tad slower but we still feel pretty settled after only 5 days. Yes, we have projects here and there that we would like to complete over the next 15 years but overall, this is more home than we ever wished for and feel so blessed!!! Every night we have been here both Phil and I have looked at each other and remarked at the fact this place is simply PERFECT for our family.

Gosh it feels great to finally be HOME!!!!!!!!!!
